Before-word: Some days are hard. You don’t want to get out of bed; and when you do, you wish the day was over. Lean into the cause of dismay/hurt/pain. Honor the emotional place where you are. Validate your feelings. And know that it’s okay to not be okay. When I’ve looked retrospectively at my hardest times, I realized they were just before some of my greatest achievements. Everything feels difficult when you’re about to level up. You have this moment … LIVE LIFE IN THE NOW!
Life
You’ve thrown the yin-and-yang
Of tears and laughter
Of sorrow and joy
Of downs and ups
Of heartbreak and heart-whole
Of sickness and health
Through it all you revealed ME to myself
My strength
My vulnerability
My resilience
My truth
My authenticity
My bounce-back-ability
Trade, I would not, your offerings
Accept, I have, good and bad
Prepared, I am, to live life wholly
In such a time as
NOW
