After-word: A sedoka is a pair of katautas using the syllable count of 5,7,7. The katauta is a Japanese form of poetry addressed to a lover. It’s a 3-lined, syllable count 5/7/5 or 5/7/7, unrhymed poem consisting of 17 or 19 syllables.
