Midweek Boost: The Cocoon & The Crucible©

Before Word: The week is long. The weekend is short. Midweek is a good point to recharge to get over the hump honoring what cocoons us and celebrating the crucibles that challenge us to transform. Happy hump day!

Everyone regale butterflies’ splendor

No one fawns o’er cocoon’s grandeur

Cocoon is beauty formation

Protective encapsulation

Pupa’s transformation

Silky isolation

Life in incubation

Timed revelation

Everyone regale butterflies’ splendor

But no one fawns o’er cocoon’s grandeur

Cocoon is life in the making

Everyone regale lives transformed

No one fawns o’er crucibles formed

Crucible is life in retaliation

Trauma illumination

Questioned assumption

Identity re-definition

Deep self-reflection

Soul re-examination

Everyone regale lives transformed

But no one fawns o’er crucibles formed

Crucible is life in the living

  1. Oh Dawn, your poetry is beautiful. 👏🏼 The transformation of life as depicted through your flow of words is awe-inspiring, dramatic, and so divine. Everything changes, but sometimes it’s harder for humans to change and accept change, than the elements of nature and the universe go with the flow of change. Thanks for reminding us to reflect. Cheers! 🤗🥂😊

      1. You are so very welcome Dawn. Oh my gosh yes, it is a continuous journey my friend. You are right about change being inevitable because it is going to happen sooner or later, whether we are ready for it or not. Love it. Take care! 🤗💖🥰

          1. Aww, thanks a million Dawn. I appreciate your endearing compliment. That means so much to me, it really does. 🤗💖🥰 The Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom collection includes a story about my mother after she passed away. I was so delighted and honored to be chosen with the other authors because it isn’t easy being accepted among so many submissions. Visiting my site is truly humbling for me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🥰💖😍 Enjyoy your weekend.

            1. What a meaningful way to honor your mom and commemorate your memories of her💕💗💕 Yeah being selected was truly a feat because there is a plethora of books in that genre of art. I didn’t see a way to follow your site though 😕

              1. Thanks a million Dawn. Your words are so uplifting. My website is on a different platform than my blog. I had it set up like that for about a decade now. Not that I don’t prefer WordPress formats, I just kept them separate for a while. That might change however. I will be updating my website soon and will check for that “follow” button. I will post it on this blogsite when I do activate it. I appreciate you Dawn. 🙏🏼 Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend. Thank you! 😎🥂😍💋😘🌺🤩🦋🥰

You said it with such grace. Crucibles is life in living. We all have crucibles , but with God we can handle them. That was a beautiful piece! Thanks for sharing!
