Drop after pounding drop beating mercilessly against your soft petals

Bobbing up and down you bounce back resiliently

Absorbing liquid nutrients all the while knowing they’ll make your petals shine brighter

Protecting a tiny ant snuggled up cozily in the depth of your embrace

You’re a wonder, rhododendron, hardy yet you flower in soft pink ruffled and showy blooms

Your spectacular clusters are deserving of this tribute ode to you
