Hello December ©Dawn Minott

How is it possible that this is December?
It feels like we skipped o’er months, I just don’t remember
Or is that time has changed its passing,
Moving faster and faster into everlasting?

Well, like it or not this is December
It’s time to decorate, celebrate, create experiences to remember
Before too long ‘twill be one more year that’s quickly passing
And I’ll be writing another poem about time moving into everlasting

So, ode to you last month of the year—December
To yule tides, Christmas delight, under-mistletoe kissing to remember
It’s time for cheer, with family and friends, gifts of love we’ll be passing
Creating unforgettable memories to live on forever in the everlasting

Happy December!

  1. Beautiful poem that captures the spirit of December. It is hard to believe that it’s nearly the end of the year. Even though the days are getting colder and darker, at least there’s a lot to look forward to and celebrate. Plus all the holiday lights and decorations add some brightness and cheer.

    1. Yes indeed. I’m still at the “I can’t believe it’s December” stage. Even with the lights and decor I’m not convinced 🤯🫨🤯 but yes it’s a lot to be thankful and grateful for. Cheers to you my fellow Canadian 🇨🇦

    Hello D,

I literally journalled about how December has arrived so quickly, this morning as well. We really have to keep our minds focused on Jesus because he truly is the author and finisher of our faith. We can only make sure we are not living a linear life and missing the moments in life where we see can see God’s abounding love. I am looking forward to his soon return.
