Beforeword: I want to start this new month with a tribute poem. Kym Moore is one of the most positive people I’ve been privileged to meet on WP. Her comments often spur my thoughts into creative expressions. This poem emanated from one of her comments on one of my poems where she used the words “rise and soar”. Thanks Kym!! Keep shining positivity. This one’s for you sistah gurl (as I often call her).

In the golden embrace of dawn we rise
Like birds, with wings unfurled, we soar
Through boundless skies, where dream flies
Our spirits will rise forevermore

On winds of hope, we take our flight
Above the shadows of darkness transcend
With every beat our hearts take delight
A symphony of freedom, our souls ascend

Together, we defy negativity’s plight
Exploring, rather, unseen horizons scene
With positivity as our guiding light
On mountains rise, rest in valleys serene

Through mountains high and valleys low
Our souls abound, we seek, we explore
In unity our passions will grow
We’ll find the wings of love to soar

So let us rise, forever be free
To chase sunset’s vibrant ray
It’s in our dreams we truly see
Endless possibilities relay

With every step, with every breath
Embrace the beauty life has in store
In harmony we transcend depth
And forevermore we’ll rise and soar
