Dear Time,

You that bridge the continuity of events and existence sequencing

Did you see this tragedy forming?

Bit by bit in irreversible succession compounding?

Sorrow on sorrow unfolding?

From one moment to moment you’re connecting

Yet past from present from future you’re disconnecting

As you tick-tock …

Tick-tock …

Tick-tock your way across the continuum of life moving

Stealthily, sequentially maneuvering

At the end you are, you’re also at the beginning

You’re not impacted by despair and hopelessness from hurting

Yet they say powers you have for healing

C’mon, then, kindly hurry your coming

This hurt can wait no longer for your restoring

Yours impatiently,
Hurt-in-waiting
